Coffee capsules and coffee pods

Coffee and coffee capsules

A selection of high-quality coffee for every day – rich espresso blends, mild and Fairtrade-certified varieties, and decaffeinated options. Carefully selected roasts from renowned roasters, so you can enjoy a truly delicious cup of coffee at home.

Coffee capsules and coffee pods without aluminium

Coffee capsules are usually a compromise: a quick morning on the one hand, a bin full of metal on the other. Rombouts has solved this by doing away with aluminium altogether. Their capsule is 7 gram of ground coffee in natural plant-fibre paper, encased in a cardboard ring. No plastic, no metal. These paper pods are also known as coffee pads.

Two houses, one machine

The Spresso system 1.2.3 was developed by Rombouts. The French company Malongo, which has been roasting coffee since 1934, produces capsules for the same machine. This means that coffee capsules from both brands are compatible with the same machine, and you are free to mix and match them when buying. These capsules are not compatible with ESE pods or the Senseo.

Three blends, three mornings

Grande Réserve is a classic: a balanced blend of aromatic, fruity Arabica beans that is neither too acidic nor too bitter. The best choice in the range to accompany a chocolate dessert.

Purs Matins is made for the morning and for drinking with milk — organic and fair-trade coffee that doesn’t get lost in the milk. If your morning starts with a latte, start with this.

La Tierra Bio is a pure Arabica blend, as well as being organic and fair trade. It has a more refined and deeper flavour, which is best appreciated when drunk black.

Who is this selection for?

If you like the convenience of coffee capsules but are bothered by the amount of packaging waste, these coffee capsules are the simplest change you can make in your kitchen. The taste stays the same, but the contents of your bin will change.
